3.1 understanding own response to body image

1800's

The woman in the image is covered up; other than the face there is not really any flesh exposed.

The clothing she is wearing is very elegant and elaborate however it is not sexually suggestive. Even without exposing herself she still seams fairly attractive.

The woman seams confident in her posture as it is strong despite the fact she isn't really posing.

Overall I think she seams to have lots of respect for herself and is bothered what others think therefore she is covering herself up and not really trying to impress anyone sexually. If she was exposing herself in the 1800s she would most probably be called a "whore" or similar.

1950's

Her shoulders and her arms are exposed although it isn't a seductive outfit. the top makes us focus on the necklace and that is why it exposes her shoulders.

She seams highly confident in herself. Her pose is striking with her hand on her hip... Not even looking at the camera like she has better things to do. It shows lots of attitude.

Her clothing shows off the shape of her body as it comes in around her chest and waist.

1980's

The clothes are more revealing; showing off the full leg length and some bum.
This is a shock as it wouldn't have been tolerated in earlier decades.

The colour of the clothes are vibrant, neon and florescent. Colours of clothes were more dull in previous decades.

The shoes are high healed and bright red and more fashionable.

The pose in itself is seductive as they are bent over and have there hands on there hips. It has a lot of attitude and an "I don't care"
attitude about it.

There hair is big and backcombed with I think adds to the shock factor and attitude of the look.

The image has a big sex appeal.

2000s

It is a women smoking acting as if she is a bad girl when in actual fact she is innocent.

She has tattoos which adds to the attitude of her as a women having a tattoo in earlier decades probably wouldn't be tolerated and still wouldn't in some places.

She also revealing her sides, back and shoulders.

She has her hair shaved on side as well which is would have been unacceptable in certain times and areas.

The whole image is seductive.

Setting up DJ equipment, DJ skills Task 1

I learned how to set up DJ equipment correctly and safely. I also learned the order in which you have to turn the equipment on and plug in the the different wires in a safe way. I was recorded setting up the equipment and explained the safety aspects of it. The video evidence is below:

understanding own responces to body image 2.2a

I think the public are blind to the fact a lot of models, musicians and actors etc do not look how they do in photo shoots. They are photoshopped; they can add colour, highlights and completely change the shape of your body. The majority of the public are foolish enough to believe that these people look like they do in the photos. It frustrates me how these celebrities do this as it makes the average person feel negative about there own body.
